Scholarship Program

Sydney Credit Union recognizes the financial burden that increasing tuition costs have on students pursuing their dream for higher education. For over 50 years, we have provided scholarships to students in the community as a sign of support for the achievement of their educational goals.

The Sydney Credit Union Scholarship Program awards $22,000 to students through the school scholarships listed below:

Riverview High School
- 4 scholarships of $1000 each
Sydney Academy
- 4 scholarships of $1000 each
Etoile de l'Acadie
- 1 scholarship of $1000
Memorial High
- 4 scholarships of $1000
Rankin School of the Narrows
- 1 scholarship of $1000
Nova Scotia Community College,
Marconi Campus
1 scholarship of $1000

Cape Breton University
- Margaret Paruch Memorial Scholarship - full time study, any degree program
- Hubert Lewis Memorial Scholarship - full time study, any degree program
- John McPhee Memorial Scholarship - full time study, Bachelor of Community Studies program
- 2 remaining scholarships - full time study, any Cape Breton University degree program
CB Kiwanis Festival of Music, Speech and Drama
- 2 scholarships of $200 each
